Study materials are purchased separately. You would normally provide your own suitable car for the test. Trainer-car hire for your test is £40 per hour, subject to agreement and availability.

Completing 40 hours does not guarantee test readiness or a pass. We’ll discuss any further development needed, and DVSA test availability may affect your qualification timescale.

Putting teaching skills into practice

Respond to the pupil. Understand your approach.

Effective instruction requires more than delivering explanations or following a prepared routine. Your training develops the decisions you make before, during and after a lesson.

Plan around learning needs

Explore the pupil’s experience, agree useful goals and choose suitable activities. Learn to recognise when the plan needs adapting rather than continuing with something that isn’t helping.

Keep learning safe

Develop your awareness of risk and the pupil’s ability to manage it. Practise agreeing responsibilities, monitoring what is happening and intervening appropriately when support is needed.

Help understanding develop

Use explanations, questions and feedback with a clear purpose. Check their effect on the pupil’s understanding and encourage reflection that helps them make increasingly independent decisions.

Your progress shapes the sessions. We’ll review what is working, identify areas for further practice and help you connect assessment feedback with your everyday lesson delivery.

What Yasir says about his Part 3 training

Jon has been an excellent ADI Part 3 trainer. His input has been viable in learning the skills required to pass the exam.

The training was well structured and easy to follow with sessions linked to DVSA standards. I felt much more confident delivering lessons even before passing the exam. I passed the Part 3 in my first attempt and will highly recommend training with Jonathan to become a driving instructor.
