Learner Driver Insurance/New Driver Insurance

A common question we get asked by our client’s is “how can I get affordable Insurance”?

Insurance for learner driver’s and newly qualified drivers is notoriously expensive. One of the main reasons for this is simply not looking in the right place for it!

At a guess, we’d imagine your ‘go to place’ for Insurance is price comparison sites. Unfortunately,  they aren’t particularly competitive for learner drivers and inexperienced drivers.  Luckily,  there are several providers who specialise in the kind of Insurance you’re looking for and we’ve listed some of our favourites below.

We’ve based our selections on price, product content and customer service.

Marmalade provide excellent cover at great prices. Policies include-

  • Learner Driver Insurance (Short term).
  • Black Box Insurance (no curfew).
  • Named young driver insurance.

According to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), on average it takes 45 hours of professional Driving lessons along with an additional 22 hours of private practice to adequately prepare for the UK Driving test.
