Make an informed training choice

Look beyond the sales pitch. Understand your investment.

If you’ve been comparing driving instructor training in Mansfield, you may have seen very different prices and promises. Before deciding, establish who will train you, how much practical tuition you’ll receive and what commitments come with the offer.

Straight answers. Honest advice.

Honesty and integrity guide how we work. We’ll discuss the demands of qualifying, explain our training arrangements and make the costs clear. You’re welcome to ask questions and consider your choices before making a commitment.

Choose training that supports your career ambitions.

A career as a qualified instructor offers good earning potential, alongside the responsibility of helping people become safe drivers. Your training needs to prepare you for both qualification and the job itself. An inexpensive package offers little value if gaps in preparation lead to substantial extra costs or leave you unable to reach your goal.

Speak to the person teaching you

Your trainer is Jon Shaw, a Grade A instructor and ORDIT-registered trainer. Discuss your background, ambitions and training needs directly with him before choosing your programme.

Check the practical training allocation

Our full programme includes 10 hours of one-to-one Part 2 training and 40 hours of Part 3 training, plus theory app support. Additional expenses and further training rates are explained below.

Ask what happens when you need help

Training should help you understand your strengths and what needs more work. We’ll review your progress, explain feedback and discuss further support if you need it, including during a trainee licence.

Assess the business figures carefully

Advertised lesson revenue needs to be considered alongside expenses and time spent travelling or running your business. Earnings depend on your circumstances; a headline figure is not a guaranteed income.

Allow for development and test availability

Your readiness depends on the skills you develop, not simply completing a set number of hours. DVSA test delays can affect your plans too. We’ll help you plan without promising a pass or a completion date.

Decide how you’ll work after qualifying

Training with us doesn’t oblige you to join or remain with us afterwards. If working independently is your aim, we can explain the support available for taking that next step.

A training discount can come with a longer commitment.

If an offer is linked to a franchise, read the minimum term, recurring fees and conditions for leaving. Work out the overall cost and what you would owe if your circumstances changed. A lengthy commitment may be costly and difficult to exit.

Our course has no franchise tie-in and no requirement to stay after qualification. We’ll explain the training and payment arrangements before you proceed.

Unsure about training you’ve already received? Share your current stage and any assessment feedback. We can discuss whether focused support would help you move forward.

A practical plan for changing careers

You may be exploring instructor training while still working, caring for family or managing other commitments. Tell us your availability and where you’re travelling from in Mansfield or nearby. We’ll discuss a workable pattern of training and suitable meeting arrangements.

Flexible sessions now. Freedom to choose how you work once qualified.

Jon has been an excellent ADI Part 3 trainer. His input has been viable in learning the skills required to pass the exam.

The training was well structured and easy to follow with sessions linked to DVSA standards. I felt much more confident delivering lessons even before passing the exam. I passed the Part 3 in my first attempt and will highly recommend training with Jonathan to become a driving instructor.
