Becoming ready for assessment takes individual development, and test appointments depend on DVSA. We’ll review your skills and preparation without guaranteeing a pass or a particular finish date.

You aren’t required to work with us once qualified. There is no franchise tie-in, and support is available if you want to establish yourself as an independent instructor.

Additional study materials are purchased separately from the course. You can continue using these resources in your professional development after qualifying.
You would normally provide your own suitable car for Part 2 training and your Part 2 and Part 3 tests. If agreed and available, the trainer’s car can be hired for these at £40 per hour.

What should I tell you when I enquire?
Include your location, availability and whether you’re starting your qualification, already a PDI or working as an ADI. Existing bookings, relevant deadlines and assessment feedback help us discuss the support you need.
Will my practical training be one-to-one?
Yes. The full programme provides individual practical tuition: 10 hours for Part 2 and 40 hours for Part 3. Theory app support is also included.
Do I need to make myself available for full training days?
No. Five-hour days are not compulsory. We’ll discuss suitable session lengths and frequency around your commitments, subject to availability and agreed meeting arrangements.
Can I book help just for Part 3?
Yes. You can enquire about standalone Part 3 training without taking the full programme. If you’re concerned about gaps in previous training, PDI rescue support may also be worth discussing.
What support can I arrange after the included hours?
Further Part 3 training beyond the included 40 hours is available at £45 per hour. Trainee-licence support is also available separately at £45 per hour. Both are paid for on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Is the trainer’s car included for my tests?
Car use is included during your allocated Part 3 training sessions. You would normally use your own suitable vehicle for Part 2 training and the Part 2 and Part 3 tests. Trainer-car hire for those is £40 per hour, subject to agreement and availability.
Can I work independently once I qualify?
Yes. Training with us does not require you to join a franchise or remain with Town & City afterwards. Ask about the support available if you want to establish your own business.
